Bofill Mir Abogados adds Andrea Abascal and Manuel Bernet as partners and expands its team with new incorporations.

Andrea Abascal and Manuel Bernet join Bofill Mir Abogados with their team of lawyers. Andrea will assume the leadership of the Public Law, Regulated Markets and Life Sciences practice, while Manuel will develop and lead the Intellectual Property, Data and Technology practice.

With this landing, Bofill Mir integrates new partners, strengthens its regulatory area and includes new specialties. Andrea Abascal, partner of Public Law, Regulated Markets and Life Sciences. She has dedicated her career to administrative and regulatory law, life sciences and corporate/M&A matters.

She has a law degree from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez de Viña del Mar and a Master's degree in Administrative Law from Universidad de los Andes. She completed the Health Law and Bioethics course at the LL.M. University of Toronto (mention in health law, ethics and policy) and has a diploma in Regulatory Affairs of the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and biological market, Universidad de Chile (2014), among other studies in administrative law.

In addition, he has extensive undergraduate and graduate academic experience in regulatory, life sciences and corporate/M&A matters at prestigious universities.

Previously, she was a partner at Jara del Favero.

Manuel Bernetpartner of Intellectual Property, Data and Technology. He has devoted his career to commercial law, litigation and unfair competition and to data, copyright, technology and industrial property matters.

He is a lawyer from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2001), Doctor in Law from Universidad de los Andes (2013) and Master in Private Law from the Bar Association of Madrid, Spain (2002) and UAndes (2009). He is director of the Department of Commercial and Business Law at UAndes and professor of Commercial Law and Unfair Competition at UAndes and UAI.

He was previously a partner of Jara del Favero.
