Bofill Mir Abogados adds former Economic and Commercial Attaché of Chile in China as Of Counsel

  • Bofill Mir Abogados announces the incorporation of Andreas Pierotic, who has a 20-year career related to China, as of counsel specializing in commercial and legal matters for Asia. His profile highlights his negotiating experience with Asian governments and companies, as well as his fluency and command of Mandarin Chinese. 

"The challenges related to new energies for electromobility and energy storage, technology transfer, and Asian investment in all those sectors that can add value and knowledge to the country, are some of the topics in which I hope to contribute to the capabilities and projects that Bofill Mir is promoting," commented Pierotic on the focus of his work.

Regarding his arrival and appointment, the new of counsel began his collaboration in September from abroad and now installed in Chile - after more than nine years abroad - Bofill Mir makes the official announcement of his incorporation.

Pierotic, who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and lived 14 years in Beijing, China, is a lawyer from the University of Chile and obtained his MBA degree from China Europe International Business School, Shanghai (CEIBS).

Within his career, his position as Economic and Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Chile in China (2014 - 2019), period in which the boom of Chinese investments in Chile began, and as legal advisor for Asia and Oceania of the General Directorate of International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005 - 2009) stand out. Currently, he is a senior consultant on economic and commercial matters for companies and organizations with presence in Latin America and Asia.

"With the arrival of Andreas, we want to take a strategic outlook and enhance the development of our firm with respect to the Asian market, where we have long-standing relationships with clients in China, Japan, Korea and Malaysia," said Octavio Bofill about the incorporation, while highlighting Pierotic's negotiating experience in Asia.
