Bofill Mir Abogados adds new partner and relaunches litigation practice

Tomás Pérez Lasserre joins Bofill Mir Abogados (BM) as partner of the Litigation team. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of dispute resolution, he comes to relaunch one of the key areas for the strategic plan of the firm.

"The challenge comes at a very attractive time, as there is space to build a renewed practice, but with the experience and support of BM's history. I am looking forward to implementing what we have thought with my new partners for the new conformation of the area and I am happy with the team that welcomes me", said Tomás Pérez, whose appointment became effective on January 3, 2023.

BM's new partner has focused his career mainly on litigation in economic, commercial and civil matters, as well as in strategic and preventive advice related to contentious matters. In this context, he is a specialist in commercial arbitration, litigation in antitrust and unfair competition issues, among others.

On the arrival of the new partner, Ana María Yuri, partner, commented that "continuing to grow is part of our commitment to our clients and team and we are very pleased to add a young partner with an outstanding career who comes to reformulate and relaunch an area that has been a fundamental part of the trajectory of our firm".

Tomás obtained his law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2009) and an LL.M. degree, with concentration in Civil Procedure and Dispute Resolution, from Columbia University, New York (2016). He previously worked at FerradaNehme (2017 - 2022), where he assumed partnership and was in charge of the antitrust litigation and other contentious public and private practices. He served as a lawyer in the Litigation Division of the Chilean Antitrust Agency (FNE for its acronym in Spanish) (2013 - 2015), and as an associate of the dispute resolution teams at Carey (2011 - 2013) and Labbé Abogados (2010 - 2011).
